New Democrats Support Expanded Canadian Military Spending

Randall Garrison, Member of Parliament for Esquimalt - Saanich - Sooke and the NDP Critic for National Defence, rose in the House of Commons today to speak in support of Canada's continuing participation in the NATO Alliance and called on the Government of Canada to allocate additional capital funding for National Defence in the upcoming Federal Budget.
"Only with a well-trained and well-equipped military can Canada continue to play an independent role in promoting peace and security."
