Fillipoff Search Continues: Day 21 for Missing Emma

The continued search for Emma Fillioff after being Gone for 21 Days-Search continues (Dec. 19)

by Rose Henry

Tomorrow will be day 21 for the hunt for Emma who went missing from Sandy Merriman House. It seems like everything Wally Oppal stated yesterday is so true to this day. As the words from PEERS Ed said this morning, there are two active police investigations of two women who died this year, two missing women and more women being assaulted; all the while, one snow border goes missing, one person's dog is stranded on a mountain, and not many people are willing to spend some time looking for these people because of their economics, gender or race.

Emma Fillipoff was and mostly like is under worse medical distress then she was 2 days. Now there is only a hand-full off people going out and looking for her at the expense of her family; with minimal support from the police ( if any).

The people who are actively looking for this sister either don't  know the terrain, or they don't know Emma or her mother.

There are a few of us who have had the privilege of meeting both Emma and her mother. All we want to do is reunite these two ASAP. Emma mum is coping as best as she can under this situation. She is still handing out posters and walking the streets herself. She can't go very far because of no wheels and not knowing the city.

The people at the Quality Inn have been very supportive and have made the colored posters available at the front desk: Zepher, James, Josh, Julian, and the company that puts up posters on most of the poles downtown have too been very supportive.

I think one of Emma's friends has come from back East to be here for Emma and her mum. The last sighting of Emma was reported anonymously on her FB page on Dec 17 at about 1 in the afternoon. The person said that they saw someone who looked like Emma walking through Goldstream park in a dazed and confused appearance.

This is the area where some of her favorite locations are.

People who want or can come and find this lost and missed sister can come and join Josh at the Goldstream entrance on Finlayson Arm road at 10 am.

His contact # is 250 857 1592

I'm not sure what progress has been made in the investigation. This post is more than a year old now, and I don't believe there's been any resolution. This is the latest I've found on the case: http://ottawa.ctvnews.ca/the-year-long-search-for-emma-fillipoff-1.1565260
