Never Mine Clayoquot: A Fandora Mining Forum

In July 2013 the BC government issued a mine exploration permit to Imperial Metals in Tranquil Valley in Tla-o-qui-aht First Nations territory.The potential mine site is perched near the edge of Vancouver Island’s largest stretch of intact old-growth rainforest.

Wilderness Committee, Social Environmental Alliance, and Friends of Clayoquot Sound invite you to come learn about the current Fandora gold mine proposal. The event will highlight:
- the current status of mine development,
- the effort to stop this short-sighted proposal
- other perspectives on the social and environmental impacts of mining in BC and beyond.
