Resistance Still Fertile in Palestine: Hiroshima and More

Hiroshima and More...

Yesterday we had the honor of receiving seeds from Japan that we planted in a ceremony at a stage in the Bet Lahem Live festival (http://www.betlahemlive.com/) on the anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima.

In my brief note I reflected on a visit and on my speech at Hiroshima on the anniversary of the nuclear bombing. Three days later I had also spoken at Nagazaki with a similar message.

It was the first time a Palestinian spoke in those cities on the anniversaries of those catastrophic events.

30 Japanese peace activists visited our Palestine Museum of Natural History and the botanical garden at Bethlehem University and showed their full support. One brought us a water filtration unit (reverse osmosis). International volunteers are also working at the museum. We get empowered and all we do here are forms
of resistance.

We just harvested our honey (not as good a year as last year but still, there is life and productivity from our bee hives, from the green house, aquaponics etc.). We hope you can join us for fun and productive time as we grow plants and consciousness and knowledge.
