America’s antipathy towards Cuba is nothing new. In fact, an active counter-revolution campaign including sabotage, assassination, and acts that have no definition but terrorism has been conducted from U. S. soil, all condoned and directed often by every administration since Kennedy. To this day, admitted terrorists live in seaside comfort in Miami.

Bernie Dwyer is a film maker and radio journalist working with Radio Cuba. She’s currently touring Canada and the world screening the award-winning documentary, ‘Mission Against Terror’ with co-writer and director, Roberto Ruiz Rebo. The film relates the fate of “The Cuba Five,” five men sent to Florida to infiltrate Miami’s Cuban community, seeking organizations behind terrorist attacks against the island nation. Bernie Dwyer in the first half.

And; the Israeli Defence Force, true to Ariel Sharon’s word, evicted Israeli settlers and military posts in Palestine’s Gaza Strip. But, what had been initially greeted with cautious optimism in Gaza has quickly transformed by the dread of random destruction at the hands of IDF artillery and air-strikes occurring there.

Jon Elmer is a Halifax-based journalist and edits the news site, From Occupied Palestine.org. Jon has been in Palestine for the last couple months, and joins us from Gaza in the second half.

And; Janine Bandcroft will be here at the bottom of the hour to bring us up to speed with all that’s good to do in and around Victoria this week. But first, Bernie Dwyer and freeing the Cuba Five.
