Chris Arnett is the author of "Terror of the Coast: Land Alienation and Colonial War on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands, 1849-1863." On May 24th, he will be in Victoria to discuss the hanging of four Hul'qumi'num prisoners in Bastion Square on July 4, 1963. This is the 150th anniversary of a signal event in the colonial suppression of Indigenous peoples in this region.
