This week, US-Iran tensions escalated to new heights. The United States deployed the [Abraham] Lincoln carrier strike group and a bomber task force the region, claiming there was a credible threat by the Iranians in the Persian Gulf. Then two Saudi tankers and Norwegian ships were apparently attacked near the Persian Gulf, which some say was a false flag operation.

Adding fuel to the fire, Iran has announced that it will stop complying with parts of the landmark 2015 nuclear deal, and resume high-level enrichment of uranium in 60 days if other signatories to the deal do not take action to shield Iran’s oil and banking sector from U.S. sanctions.
